Since it's already September, I'm happy to announce my upcoming album entitled, Manila Electronica. It's a collection of tunes I've done over the years covering various styles. I'm hoping that it would be a primer for the new listener in finding out about the different styles out there.

Since I'm pretty busy these days with work and a couple more albums, gigs aren't too many so catch me on:

Sept 18 at Checkpoint bar bicutan for another Electronica Manila Night.

The album launch and tour of Devotion is still in October.

Released in 2000 seeing BT take on more dance and breaks with this release.

I usually take on old albums for the review to let people in on the music that have influenced me a lot over the years and this album, did it for me.

I came across this song of BT entitled the Hip Hop Phenomenon and this sparked my interest into the whole breaks scene. If you do take time to check this tune out, wait for the drop til it comes back in. It's really something... for me at least.

This album sounds great from start to finish and I believe this album sparked the whole stutter edits exploding to everyone's ears.

Key tracks are Dreaming, Godspeed, Never Gonna Come back Down, and Shame. As I said everything's worth it and you really get what you pay for in getting this album.

After listening to this record, I was a BT convert and got all the releases after that and searched for those before this one.

Some tidbits.... BT is an accomplished musician and he knows his notes. He can do complete orchestrations, and pieces. Yes. He's that good. He is the one responsible for the stutter edit phenomenon which sparked a whole production style for electronic music. His studio was burglarized before and someone stole his computer along with the latest album. His daughter was once kidnapped but recovered soon enough.

Quantcast

Around You - original mix

If you haven't downloaded your own copy of this dance tune, head on over to the FREE section on the site to get the complete single with remixes!

Around you is something I created with lesser style boundaries set for myself. I felt like just going with the flow and it's very evident that it really doesn't fit much into a certain set of style or genre restriction. I distinctly remember thinking of Daft Punk while making this. It doesn't sound like a DP track and I wasn't really trying to achieve that but I thought of them because of their style and how open it sounds in terms of how they sound. Enjoy!

Photo Slideshow Using Multiply

I love multiply. Despite FB taking the lead and I've noticed a number of people (partly) abandoned their multiply for the (famous) Facebook, I still find it very useful and still love it to bits. I hate the FB photo uploader and you will see that I don't really have anything on Facebook because after waiting for almost an hour, it suddenly fails...

Now what makes the slideshow special in Multiply? You can share it on your blogs, websites, etc. It's easy as sharing and embedding your slideshow into your desired page/site. You may ask, so what? I've tried Flickr and that particular function is quite limited and in a way, hard to setup whereas in Multiply, all you have to do is go to the album and share. In Facebook, it's not even possible. You can share the link but can't embed it and present it in a slideshow.

Just go at the bottom of the album before the replies. Share is on the bottom right part of the album. Click on it, then copy embed and paste onto your site.

Here's a sample from my Nu107 interview on Devotion

If you're not yet on multiply, get on it! It' worth it!

Enjoy!
