SINGLES AND EP'S IN LIGHT BOXES, FULL ALBUM IN DARK ONES.

There's something about a steady groove with slow rising and falling of a synth's pitch that creates a dizzying feeling as if you were being hypnotized with sound. This makes for a real trip on the dancefloor. Just close your eyes and don't get too drawn into the hole.

With a steadiness that vibes throughout until it opens up (and it opens wide!), And The Rain Never Stops sees silverfilter making do with an arrangement that keeps it sparse and lets the little changes do the talking. The end result is a deep funk groove that makes the lift worth waiting for.

What perfect time for a patriotic release but on the celebration of Philippine Independence!

Silverfilter releases Pilipinas, which encourages listeners to travel the Philippines as the track talks about going to all the different places around the country. Another push happens halfway thru the track where the lyrics then not only talks about travelling but also sings about spreading Filipino music all over to anyone who hears it.

When a lot of music tries to sound too foreign, here we have a dance track that not only talks about its beloved country and its music, but also uses its native tongue to convey the message.

Finally, a formal release to the much enjoyed tune that has seen a couple of incarnations played in dancefloors over the years. Now in its actual single, Astig Pare sees itself in 4 variants all from silverfilter himself. The first study, onto the original version, and introducing 2 new remixes to make the wait a little bit more worthwhile. This single is sure to please different kinds of tastes as it explores some deeper groove, electro, house, and more.

One rarity coming from the silverfilter bank comes Press On, which quite leans into Trance, while keeping a driving progressive sound throughout.

Taking the catchy synth line, Mic Freak gets on remix duties with a steady and deeper remix that's quite a contrast to the pulsing original but still keeps the hook alive in the process. (Remix available in Beatport)

The title speaks for itself. Break The Vibe really does throw you off in a good way once you bring in this tune on the dance floor as it unashamedly turns itself into a triplet banger after leading you to think it was your typical four to the floor tune. Don't worry, it brings you back to the vibe in the end.

The remix, brought in by Deeflash is a different beast entirely as it turns the original into a techno crawler complete with 303-style licks. (Remix available in Beatport)

Loops n Hits is the first single off the shelves of the Trike Records headquarters in Manila Philippines. This signals the arrival of regular material from the label.

With remixes from silverfilter himself, Mecha Hell, Justin De Guzman, and Deeflash, the single presents a collection that is just perfect to set the pace for future releases. (Remixes of other artists available in Beatport) credits

The first ever release. This is where it all began.

A collection of my tunes over the years spanning almost a decade. I created this collection because I felt that in my years as an Electronic music producer, music styles and trends have come and gone and what better way to represent those periods but with pieces of music that highlighted those times in our lives as well as the ones that I've been heavily into and enjoyed getting my feet wet in. It is through this release that I aim to show everyone how Filipinos have been at it as well, doing electronic music the same time the rest of the world was.

This is not a “best of” collection but more of a timeline of how I was back then and the production methods and sounds I used during those particular times I was doing a particular genre.

I intentionally did not sequence the album from oldest to the most recent tune. I sequenced it rather to be more of a journey through different styles regardless of time because as with most musicians, we aim to make our compositions "timeless." I hope that you would find this collection of music something that you can pop into your player from time to time but finding it always "fresh" to your ears. credits

I call this a "soundtrack to prayer." I've often dabbled with certain chillout styles but this one's definitely not within the chillout sound familiar in the tons of compilations out there. Personally, I don't really want to call this chillout because of the sound and idea behind creating this particular album.

I made this album as a fund raiser primarily for my church. I figured that the best way to give back to God was to create something from the talents that he gave me and use it to raise funds to build His house, which in my case, is my home church. With the help and support of our senior pastor and his family, Devotion got a green light and this is the product of that gratitude I have for my saviour.

I wrote these tunes with prayer in mind and how I imagine music playing in the background. I wanted something that didn't jump out of the speakers or something that could startle anyone listening to it. I wanted it to sound more like background music than something you actually sit down and listen to. The irony of it though is that it can definitely stand alone as a collection of music pieces regardless if it was born out of "music for prayer."

I've received reviews of it being "relaxing" or a "nice companion to the beach," which is definitely a plus and I'm just happy that this particular album can be able to touch lives in whatever way it can. credits
